Well, here we are.

You're here because you want to know more about what I do. I'm here because I want to tell you about it. Win, win.

I am a creative. I organize. I write. I edit. Then, I make it look pretty. Call it a multi-platform skill set. The bulk of my work has been in an all-inclusive advertising and marketing environment which means I am responsible for coming up with the concepts, writing the copy, providing the art and executing the final product. 

I have a BFA. My concentration was Graphic Design and a secondary in painting, so I'm well trained in visual aesthetics. As a veteran designer, I love all aspects of design and capturing the essence of a product, service or event in a visually pleasing manner.

I am experienced.  For the first 15 years of my professional life, I worked in graphic design, responsible everything from campaign development and design, to project management in both print and digital platforms. For the last three, I've been a content coordinator and editor, responsible for the management of much larger projects — concept to execution — in both print and online publications as well as social media. Design is still very much a part of my job—I still get to make things look pretty—but I write a lot more than I used to.

I know Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign like family, which is to say intimately, but they still surprise me from time to time. Dreamweaver, Flash and I are more like good neighbors, but we’re getting more friendly by the day. Wordpress is my go-to for content management and I'm comfortable in the world of social media.  

I am interested in an opportunity to not only utilize the skills I currently possess but to grow and expand into new areas of responsibility. Being excited about my work is one of my top priorities.
